Do you live within driving distance of Hershey, Pennsylvania and want to experience what it's like to live and work as a houseparent at Milton Hershey School?

You're invited to attend the upcoming MHS Houseparent Open House on Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. until noon.

Milton Hershey School offers a top-notch education, state-of-the-art facilities, advanced technology, and a wide array of activities for qualifying children in pre-K through 12th grade. This cost-free, private school where students live on campus in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is funded by a trust established by chocolatier and entrepreneur, Milton S. Hershey, and his wife, Catherine. The school provides a positive, structured home life year-round and an excellent education, focusing on the whole child. Its vision centers on high-quality academics, college and career readiness, and providing students with the skills necessary to be successful in all aspects of life.

Milton Hershey School employs over 200 houseparent couples to oversee student homes on campus in Hershey, Pennsylvania. They provide students a structured, caring, home away from home. Houseparent couples shape the lives of children in their care by helping students build strong character and social and emotional habits for both personal and academic success.

Representatives from MHS will take attendees through a morning of activities to learn more about the houseparent role, including:

  • Visit a student home
  • Guided walking tour of Founders Hall
  • Chat with current MHS houseparents
  • Meet the recruitment team

Register today by visiting mhskids.org/houseparents. If you have specific questions, you can also contact Dedra Doutrich via email.
