We need couples willing to help children become resilient and capable in their lives. New Mexico Christian Children’s Home needs high-energy, caring couples to minister to children as houseparents. The couple will collaborate with NMCCH staff to meet the daily needs of children as they grow up to confront the challenges of this world.

The essential responsibility throughout all the work of a houseparent is to model Christian family living and present Christianity with a positive, inviting, and non-judgmental attitude.

  • Married Christian couple
  • Supervise and care for 10 to 12 children within a cottage setting
  • The ability to complete common household tasks
  • Ability and desire to live with and serve the needs of youth
  • Ability to collaborate and solve problems
  • Ability to set goals and track progress toward those goals
  • Ability to be flexible in daily routines
  • Commitment to confidentiality

Salary & Benefits

  • Starting pay for a houseparent couple is over $63,000 per year
  • 100% premiums paid for medical, dental, and vision insurance for your family.
  • 100% premiums paid for life insurance of $100,000 per employee

  • Beautiful campus with housing, utilities, and Wi-Fi paid (on and off duty)
  • Transportation and meals provided while with children
  • Work schedule: 7.5 days on duty and 6.5 days off duty
  • College tuition assistance is available. ENMU is located in Portales.
