Situated in beautiful North Georgia on a 160 acre wooded ranch in Waleska, GA, the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch has been providing a quality environment for youth in the foster care system by focusing on spiritual growth, recreation, education, and independent living skills. Our houseparents receive full-time room and board including during Respite time off, and enjoy competitive salaries with fully paid health/dental/vision benefits.
While most group homes have shift workers, our proven model is focused on creating an environment that feels as much like family as possible. As a houseparent at Goshen, you are the centerpiece of a team focused on ministering to 7 boys between the ages of 8-18. You help us achieve our mission of “Peace and Purpose” by creating a home environment that feels like a family…not an institution.
All youth are placed at Goshen Valley Boys Ranch through the Department of Family and Children’s Services and are in foster care due to abuse or neglect. The goal for most youth is for their biological families to stabilize so that they can return home to a healthier environment than they were removed from. The average length of care at Goshen is currently 15 months and the average age of our youth is 14 years old.
Goshen Valley has a team of support staff who assist houseparents with the needs of the boys including a Clinical Director, Case Managers, a Medical Coordinator, Education Coordinator, Recreation Director and Support Staff who assist on the busiest evenings in the homes.
We know that for our children to succeed, we need our team to succeed. If you feel the call to serve youth, we invite you to see the Goshen difference and investigate how you can join in our mission of Peace and Purpose.
