Alpine Academy is a therapuetic boarding school for teenagers with mild to moderate mental and behavioral health needs.
The ultimate goal for parents is for their child to be successful at home, and research supports therapeutic interventions that allow a child to replicate skills in a setting that is most like reality. Alpine achieves this by creating a family and community setting in which the students live, learn, recreate, and most importantly, receive valuable therapeutic services. Alpine students reside in a home with live-in treatment providers called Family-Teachers.
Family-Teachers are behavior specialists who reside in the home and act as full-time treatment providers. These family teachers provide the most unique form of treatment intervention available. In addition to seeing to the day-to-day care and coordination of treatment, they also provide 24-hour teaching and development around the individual treatment goals of each youth in their home. This model reduces instances of manipulation and triangulation.
